J. Regan Thomas, M.D. to Deliver Keynote Lecture at Conference of European Facial Plastic Surgeons

Dr Thomas, an internationally regarded clinician, teacher, and speaker, will also be named honorary president of the Academy at the Sept. 1-5 conference.

The Academy, formerly known as The Joseph Society in honor of the renowned German facial plastic surgeon Jacque Joseph, promotes training, research, and scientific advancement in the field of facial and reconstructive surgery, has more than 600 members from across Europe.

"This is a tremendous honor for me," Thomas said. "To be asked by my European peers to talk to them at their most important meeting, especially in a forum named for such an outstanding and visionary practitioner, is truly a privilege."

Thomas has published dozens of papers and five textbooks, most recently Advanced Therapy in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery earlier this summer. He is Past President of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Past President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and current President-Elect of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
